Products
I've had opportunity to develop ideas into impactful products during my career by working with an employer or through pursuing independent projects. The following is a catalog of some of the more profitable products I've developed, and pet projects that I pursued due to personal interest. What I present here are mostly advertising technologies focused products ranging in scope from Rich Media technology to ad tag handlers used to process tends of millions of ads in a mainstream Demand Side Platform.
Independent Products
Swaydewin
Swaydewin provided a wide variety of digital advertising and business analytics calculators in an ad free experience.

Ad Tag Macro Handler
The Ad Tag Macro Handler started life as a stand-alone productivity tool, injecting common ad serving macros into common third party ad tag syntaxes, enabling the DSP to accurately track clicks and impressions on ads. Through it's development, it grew into the tag handler service in the Rocket Fuel DSP supporting hundreds of distinct ad tag syntaxes and their variants, robust HTML validation, and brand safety markup.
Streamlining this aspect of the trafficking process resulted in widescale elimination of issues caused by human error, a 50% reduction in escalations tied to discrepancy and tracking / attribution issues, a robust library of third party ad tag syntaxes and their expected macro handling instructions, and the successful processing of tens of millions of ads served to programmatic inventory.
UBM Launchpad Platform
The UBM Launchpad was a sponsored microsite platform developed to provide advertisers with the opportunity to market a product or service to focused groups of users directed to the advertisers content through traffic drivers and email marketing from UBMs private network of sites. Advertisers could buy a sponsorship on the Launchpad or opt for the build and deployment of a distinct branded Launchpad site.
UBM Launchpad offered rich features including integrated video and ad placements, and an easy editor allowing trafficking staff to easily create and update every dynamic aspect of the product. Each sponsored blade from the home page would lead to a product-specific page featuring downloading whitepapers, information on related events, additional video content, and a call to action for users to sign up for newsletters.

Rich Media: Portrait Ad
I managed the development of UBMs version of the IAB Rising Star "Portrait Ad" unit while working with UBM. The Portrait Ad had the same width as the 300x250 IMU however, is more than four times as tall at 1050px in height. When incorporated properly into a publishers portfolio, the Portrait Ad relies on elasticity in the site's design to rotate through the same ad placements as more conventional IMUs.
The Portrait Ad's size allows for the incorporation of multiple messages and include different rich elements including, but not limited to, video, static images, and links to social media profiles.
Portrait Ad Features:
Huge creative space (usually 300×1050)
Combines Rich Media, Static Content, and Video

Rich Media: Ad Carousel
I managed the development of the Ad Carousel while at UBM. The Ad Carousel was a Rich Media product available as 300x250 and 336x280 IMUs. User interaction with each image, Flash, or video creative was individually tracked along with user interaction with the Ad Carousel controls when displayed. The first of the Rich Media products I managed, this
